  1. itku2er is wonderful at doing that, ask her she can help you with putting them on here, give her the credit for it.
  2. I'm in Calgary, someone told me even if you see someone driving with no lights on, never flash them. This is a known gang deterent and they could turn around and come after you. This happened in Edmonton and someone was shot. So if they don't have their lights on, no big deal not my problem. Two weeks ago I think, someone turned their lights off and took a known gang member out, he hit someone's tree and was dead at scene. Oh the joys of living in a city that never had this problem before, call us mini Los Angeles.
  3. It's racist to use the N word but what do the black community call us white folks . . .Honkies. Today's slang is Crackers / krackers so I'm told by some 20 yr olds. Either way you call it, even though racism will never die, many people will just because of what happened in 1963 and 1967. If you don't know google the name NAACP.
  4. You always see someone else making a difference, so what are you Medics waiting for?

    Most of all, RELAX . . .
  6. Standing next to someone who was going to die, that that was going to be the end of his life.
  7. Instead of all these ninkumpoops complaining. Maybe I should start a service where each county that has a station of EMS/FD's, I will get their list of groceries and bring it back to them, I'll even put them away and make supper and serve dessert.
  8. I could pass this info along to my 24 yr old niece who works for Imperial Oil, who just this last weekend picked her diploma up, her fiance is a CA. For what she makes, is no where what someone in EMS mangement is making, could I be wrong? Ruffems says: If you have no business experience or EMS experience the value that you bring is diminished somewhat. Sure you have the clinical or the exposure to others who have real world business experience but until you get some time doing the job under your belt you are really just a new grad.
  9. Oops I think someone's opened pandora's box a little to soon. Why I say this is, the hard cold facts of the issues are never a solved problem, even with the high cost of living here in Calgary. If you think your ER is in bad straights, and you think non-positive attitude, then the world is a never ending chaos. Do we really need people in Parliment running Canada, and us? Heck no they should go! That's just my opinon.
  10. I'm curious, but do you medics carry salts on board, and what are it's uses? One medic I met last week mentioned this to another medic, something about this 87 yr old woman they picked up, this medic steve said she was a complete mess and the word salt came into conversation. Ok sodium bicarb, I just happened to see this after I posted this, he mentioned that.
  11. It maybe that they are always practising their skills to keep in top shape for the kind of job they do. You're job on the other hand is, your always on the go, your exercising all the time, given the factors that this job is always lifting, hauling, pushing. While these people perse are sitting in the firehall, watching TV, talking on the phone, going to different places-giving out tickets for not securing this or following the codes. yeah I see where the conflict lies here, Dust . . . so why shouldn't you be paid as much as they make the same. Your job is just as hectic and strenuous as theirs, am I wrong?

  13. Did you see the footage for the Tornado's in colorado and alabama, OMFG
  14. They say when a baby is born, they have about 50% fat in the brain and we only have 25%. Now I know where the name calling for Fat head comes from.
  15. I think someone forgot to tell the other driver that this ain't gonna work. http://www.stupidvideos.com/video/stunts/T..._Squeeze/#24505
  16. To become one with the synergy the life in which we have, to make it better is to have a positive attitude with the meditation you'll be using to leave one's body and travel one's mind.
  17. It was just lame, JP that's all I like Grey's Anatomy, I'm getting more into that and I used to love ER, but since so many people died off that show, especially Dr. Green-that just ruined that for me and what is Dr. Carter doing today? He's out doing the WHO thing (World Health Order). I hate Doctors who just dump their patients off and leave the country for greener pastures and hopes that you can find another doctor. Which we all know we have a shortage of them here, like most everywhere I'm sure.

Does this fall under "Are you smarter than a fifth grader"?
  19. That was totally gay, I'm sure . . . what other gay song and dance routines are there??
  20. Would you believe last Friday my mother fell out of her wheelchair, and from this fall she fractured her right hip. They tell me she's not a good candidate for surgery. They did a CT and told me her aorta aneurysm is still about the same size-praise god. They sent her back to the nursing home and the Doctor said bed rest for 1 month, well that's not good either because pneumonia could set in, so we are back to square one. This fall was due to a faulty seatbelt and it seems that no matter how tiny the problem is, I asked to be notified and wasn't I had to find this out from a PCA. But hey that's okay I have someone investigating as to what happened to her, where was she when this happened, why the hell was she in her room, when she should of been watching TV. I'm always finding her in the hall or in her room and my Mom is 78 yrs old, this is her first break of any kind. The orthopedic surgeon told me how my Mother's hip is sitting, it's jammed into her socket-isn't that just lovely.
  21. It was Mother's day that's why . . .did any of you over look something here, no because you were to busy trying to out do the other person. I saw the Calgary sun with his mug shot on it and the flowers were really pretty too. Most of my relatives are FF's, go figure
  22. Hey that's great news, wishing you all the wonderful days ahead paragod. Did you know the term Para-God was always considered what old medics called it, bow down and kiss my feet term, I guess  But the term to me stands for: That God was your healer of source and that the medic you've become was the hands in which God guided you. :angel11:
  23. Perhaps the forum for this should be for the strange, un-natural and funny stuff. I don't know, where would you think I should have put it?
