Very brave of that lifeguard.
I don't know if I would be fearless enough to paddle out into a group of sharks to grab a bleeding patient...
I am sorry to hear the man didn't survive. At least there were not 2 patients.
I wonder why education is so important to her? She is obviously not a Harvard Grad. It is not the point.
You know there must be a history of abuse, both to her and now her son. It is just coming out to others now. Poor kid.
Jeez. Having to ask or request?? What a smuck. Even at the hospitals I worked at we were given free dinner on holidays (for us and family), the stations always had a ton of donations and treats. Maybe it's a sign of the weak market. Or lazy upper management.
Good for you for taking care of your crew.
I do hope you are reimbursed though.
Too true!! How self important do these idiots think they are? They can't skip a break and help this woman and her baby? How heartless and sad. Maybe they could have saved her, maybe not. But at least to have tried might have saved her, her baby, and her young son from being left without his Mom. Just plain cold hearted.
This shows our ages. When I was little I wanted an ez bake oven, light brights, barbies, etch a sketch, silly putty....
My son's list....$60 ps3 games, $100 basketball shoes, more phone time to text, zip drives, new notebook computer....
How come life isn't as simple as it used to be??
Me too Dwayne!! Thanks for sharing this video, although it breaks my heart. Why can't everyone play nice, and people all be home with their families????
Subject: Cowboy boots
A Lady went into a bar in Waco and saw a cowboy with his feet propped up on a table. He had the biggest boots she'd ever seen.
The woman asked the cowboy if it's true what they say about men with big feet being well endowed. The cowboy grinned and said, 'Shore is, little lady. Why don't you come on out to the bunkhouse and let me prove it to you?'
The woman wanted to find out for herself, so she spent the night with him. The next morning she handed him a $100 bill.
Blushing, he said, 'Well, thankya, ma'am. Ah'm real flattered. Ain't nobody ever paid me fer mah services before.'
'Don't be flattered ... take the money and buy yourself some boots that fit.
I am so sorry for your family's loss of a great person.
It is amazing how "big" stories start to fade, and people forget the risk is still there. Go to work symptomatic, go back to work too quickly, don't take precautions, infect someone else.
Thanks Mobey for the post, and reminding us to protect ourselves, family, friends, and the community. Again, my condolences.

Not one for the conspiracy thing. However, I am a parent. I have worked in healthcare and research for the past 25 years. I do not jump on the bandwagon of panic and immediately trust a shot that has not been proven to protect myself or my child. It may react differently in my child than it does me. Do you even understand how this virus works? How it affects a healthly immune system?
As for what this thread was originally started for, yes, I think that gal was self serving. But WTF, let her push everyone out the way and trample her way to the front of the line for her shot.
Back off Tniugs.
