Wonder how long this time? Or are you a tigger and just need to bounce?
  2. Up to 15 dead at last count. Sadly many will never be identified.
  3. Canadians are some violent people it sounds like. Sad how far people have fallen from common sense.
  4. Theres lots of good quality tools to use on the job as well as in your education.
  5. Online does not equal alone. It requires more effort on the individual. When you have to read and research you have a better chance of retaining the material compared to just hearing it in a lecture. You still do face to face education with this program when you attend the skills days. If you stay up with modern education you will find you can complete pretty much any degree online.
  6. Don't hesitate to expose. There is nothing to fear and you may actually do the patient some real good. Yes try and preserve their modesty they are not there for your entertainment. With time you find the proper balance of how much to expose a patient. I personally get annoyed at people that are afraid to expose patients.
  7. At least if you ever need your basic back you can just take a 2 week class and get it back. Now if you were a Paramedic I would say keep it at all costs.
  8. Yes we'll hate you out of jealousy. Really why waste the money keeping it.
  9. Mike glad she is doing good. I hope you and your family much peace after such a stressful event.
  10. Welcome back. As always listen to me and ignore everyone else and you'll do fine.
  11. It's not the perfect machine but it definitly beats the puppy lung poppers many services carry. Every vent I have every seen has some sort of issue if not handled correctly.
  12. http://www.progressivemed.com/estylez_item.aspx?item=11684 Something like that great. It's what we use. Not near as complicated as it looks. One of those darn puppy lung poppers that many services carry, no thank you. http://www.progressivemed.com/estylez_item.aspx?item=88400

I wish for you and your family to have peace.
  14. Hang in there. If you try other services and you still keep being in trouble all the time then you have to consider that you may be the problem. At this point it sounds like the problem is the current service. Stay professional but find a quick way out.
  15. Probably just trying quick posts to get some privilege. That or cat got his tongue.
  16. Text book answer on a long dead topic?
  17. Ok we'll say inexperienced then.
  18. Maybe replying will help the new person find this.
  19. Use it on an alert patient and they will come off the cot. Really only useful for an unconscious patient. Prefer the ez, alert patients seem to move less with it than an IV.
  20. Simple answer is yes it is possible. Now the hard part. With all the variables involved the only truly accurate answer would be to do as the above told you.
  21. Fighting fire w/o proper protection is stupidity whether in a dress, a tux, or naked.
  22. Most require you to go somewhere for a skills test. Some allow your service training officer to sign off on skills. It's so simple now they may have removed skills requirement.
  23. Never heard of them. Every CPR course I have taken I was handed the card at the end of the class so I would never have considered there to be a need for temporary as I had my real one. Perhaps a receipt with passed and your signature would suffice until they get the real card.

    Hello

Welcome to the city. Ignore Dwayne and listen to me and your stay will be fun.
  25. Nope. There is no excuse for them not to have carried their bunker gear with them on the fire truck. They allowed their desire to look like hero's override common sense thus they deserve no respect for the choice.
