There's a show on discovery doomsday bunkers. Some of those bunkers are nicer than most people's houses . Guess real prepping is not for us lower financial class people.

Use of any medication on another person for other than it's intended purpose and w/o doctors orders is a criminal offense. Guess what that includes the IV solutions so many like to make drip on others, the nitro which only a stupid person would use on someone w/o an IV and a HX, the lasix that can cause cardiac issues besides the dehydration, and also the fact that many people have allergies known and perhaps even unknown to themselves that you do not know about. Yes that KY can trigger allergic reactions in some people so that so called harmless lubing the door handle can be dangerous immediately, hell could cause a wreck if they do still attempt to drive away. The list of risks far outweighs the limited fun enjoyed. If you want to play games at work bring monopoly or cards. Or download game apps on your phone and play games with people that want to play a game.

Bags of beans last for years and are full of protien. Draw back is will have to use some of your water to cook them. Make sure you have at least 1 month supply of each family members meds. Find items easy to carry that can be used for multiple purposes. Water filter. They sell water filter straws that take little room in your pack. Also get some purification tablets. Multiple ways to create fire. lighters, strickers etc. Even if you plan to stay in place drive arround and look for places easy to get to from your area but not along the beaten path so you can have ideals where to head out to escape the zombies. Baby wipes so you can clean yourself. Water, lots of water.

Let it live. After all the calling out KIWI did of Robert I would like for him to explain what qualifications he has. He has called himself a medic. He has refererred to doing advanced procedures. He chose to start the witchhunt now time for him to provide his true background. I hope he does respond honestly because I do feel he provides good posts but we deserve to know the truth.

Ouch. While I think most long time posters have embellished a few things at some point they also at have eventually come clean. To continue deception for as long as it appears KIWI has is sad. KIWI you do post some good comments at times. KIWI how about you put a signature that states you are not a Paramedic so it helps everyone know how to take your comments. I just renewed my NR Paramedic and still state certified Paramedic. Have been working full time 911 for about 8 years and part time and even volunteer EMS for a few years prior to that.

I was told once that you should not use sucs if you use ketamine. I can not find that in any of my drug books. Any truth to it? Links to the proof please. Google has not been my friend on researching it.

When I teach I do as those that instructed me I design scenarios that require the students to get to know their fellow student extremely well. I understand early on it is difficult to intrude on peoples personal space, but they still better act mature about it. I will move the students hands to proper locations for assessment if they keep avoiding certain areas. I recall when I had a skills instructor push my hand up under her breast to place the stethoscope correctly because I kept avoiding it when I was a student. I have always remember her doing that and saying if you can't properly check a healthy person you'll never be able to properly assess and treat a sick one.

MM2 you hit on a vital point, that of the ER doctor actually accepting the EMS EKG. The doctors that know me know that if I tell them there is an issue they listen. Occasionally though we get a renta doc covering and we show up and they ignore what we tell them they ignore our EKG. Thankfully more and more doctors are beginning to understand that EMS is more than a taxi service. Did you do a modified 12 lead? V4R, V8, V9.

Female or not I would hope you would still care about the type of person touching your mother or sister. As others have said you can probably get certified but getting hired will be harder though there are many shady IFT's that might hire you.

At this point is there any proof or just an accusation? Let's not convict someone w/o letting all the facts get to us. If it is true hang the medic from the ambulance. If not true lets hope the media puts as much effort in clearing the medic as they did in condemning them.
