  1. There is no match for Admiral Adama! anyway, I want that device, it would be fun at parties... I guess?
  2. I didn't read everyone's reply or anything, because I just did not want to. Anyway, it is a valid DNR, signed by both parents. DNR is a legal document. If CPR was intinated already, and the DNR was presented afterwards, just to be safe, I would contact medical command, and inform them, and have the doc give me the order to stop CPR.
  3. I suppose that could work, but nope.
  4. I can show you how to make one out of stuff from your med kit
  5. It depends on the situation. If it's a cardiac patient, I will hang a line, if it's a bad cardiac, I will put another line in with a lock. Either way you look at it, a line or a lock is just about the same as far as procedure. You could always hang a line, and shut it off, or attatch the line to the lock... so, if the patient doesn't immediately need fluids, it's preference.
  6. paddles look cool.... pads are safer I'll use pads
  7. This is simple... ambulances must follow all the same laws as any other vehicle on the road. If they don't want to obey the law, they should not be driving and ambulance. Suspend them. Plain and simple.
  8. yea, illegals dont pay taxes. and get all kinds of help from the government come live the american dream!
  9. your best bet, is to contact the American embassy there in England
  10. well i need proof of this but anyway, this site might help http://www.uscitizenship.info/
  11. Class 3 is not an emergency. An 8 y/o old psych does not need to be taken 150 miles away RIGHT NOW. They can wait until weather clears. I would refuse the transport, my self, and my crew are more important than little billy throwing a fit. I have refused transports in bad weather, I got snide remarks from staff in the ER, but they can bite me. No patients all night, just an elderly female with alzheimers, she could wait until the weather was better. Remember, YOU come first. If you don't feel safe, don't go. It is no different than entering the scene of a gun shot victim, and the shooter is still there. Would you still go in? I hope not
  12. Isn't there a way I can just make big money and do nothing... you know.. like a nurse? haha jk all, I'm bored
  13. didn't they try doing this before?
  14. yikes... another few inches to the left.....
  15. You people are truly pathetic... the girl was trying to start a funny thread, and you arrogant pricks had to go and ruin it, like every thing else. Let's start a thread about ego's in ems... I could go on for hours about most of you. You think you are all high and mighty, looking down on others. Well I tell you what, dispatchers play a very important role in this business.. remember? If you don't like how things are done, and think dispatchers suck.. start your own business, and take your own 911 calls. OHHHHHH WAIT, they use to do that like 100 years ago.. and realized it was STUPID Get off your high horse, it's leg is broke and needs to be shot. People who feel the need to put others down to boost their own self esteem are scum.. pure scum. If you want to get into a pissing match on who is better in ems, you need a life. Maybe you just need a new career.
  16. The man in charge..... I know.... I'm scared too
  17. I agree, if they are trained on how to use the 12 lead... then let them do it. They aren't hard to put on, and not hard to press a button to analyze it.... But if you have the need to do a 12 lead, shouldn't ALS be there anyway? Before anyone says "what if they aren't available blah blah blah" ok I can see that... but in the long run, it would be a waste of money.... but that's just me
  18. From looking at the hinges... appears to be adjustable
  19. Just another company with a product, that's all ch
  20. Beacause it has multiple functions. Acts as a stair chair, and stretcher.
