  1. learn how to read... yea.. big whoop... i made a typo... lets get all bitchy about it. i said once you had the shocky pt transported, get that entrapped patient out..... so next time you decide to bash what i have to say, read what i said first
  2. we had those in your fire englie... out of the way... but from what i could tell... they worked well, but a box of gloves didn't fit very well... you sort of have to smash the box to make it fit. and mounting it was a pain too.... didnt want to stick to anything.... other than that... worked out well.
  3. Given I don't know the scope of practice you folks use over there, it's hard to judge what I would do. From what you said, you did good work. Bus people are ok... leave them sit in the bus... if it's stable of course. Transport the shocky pt immediatly, don't wait for ALS. Maybe pop in 2 iv's bolus with fluids... *can the emt-b transport that?* if so, do that. You are the highest trained on scene... you are in control.. you can't really leave. Everyone else is ok... forcus on the entrapped patient.. or not given on MOI.... but that's just me aaron
  4. sorry, i have trouble sorting throug all your useless crap in posts, i see it now. carry on

  11. I use to ride, I crashed doing about 110mph (I was on a race track) Full leather gear, helmet, boots, etc etc. My helmet was cracked, scratched to heck... I walked away. A very good friend of mine... was being stupid on another ocassion. He was doing a wheelie... he looped over backwards... there was paint from his helmet marked up on small trees going through the woods... he stumbled away... then I forced him to go to the hospital. I have responded to numerous bike related accidents, some had on helmets, some didn't. I don't enjoy seeing brains splattered on the street.... please wear a helmet. I owe my life to having on a helmet. I hope everyone else would do the same.
  12. I took my NR about a month ago. It's still pretty fresh in my head. The oral stations were not that bad. Don't over think things, and especially don't get into too much detail of treatment. They look for general stabaliztion of the patient, and imediate care. Heck, I didn't even give dosages on meds, I just said I would get a specific one. Although I can't really discuss what exactly the stations were, since they are pretty anal about that... and who knows who is on this forum that might be an evaluator.... Just stay calm, think about what you are doing, expecially giving a med you would normally give, but can't due to contra indications, or patients age or weight... good luck!
  13. dont forget to check pms before and after you imbolize, and after you move to ambulance.... im pretty sure thats a critical fail if you dont check
  14. well, these kids are going to drink regardless of the drinking age. i drank more before i turned 21 than i do now. but thats not saying much for me, i don't drink much now anyway I don't see the point in drinking all together, I drink socially, not to get drunk. I never really enjoyed being drunk. It seems now a days, and even when I was younger, and I'm sure it goes back a lot further than that... all these kids want to do is go out and get drunk all time. It's dangerous for them, and everyone else. Yes, legal aged drinkers drink and drive, blah blah blah... which I guess is a reason why the drinkign age is 21... but they are "more responsible" but, who knows... I lost my train of thought there... but regardless of the age.... they are still going to drink.. they always find a way to get the alcohol.. being it someone buying it for them, or careless/ignorant vendors.... I don't know where I am going with this so I am just going to shut up now...
  15. I once dated a girl (briefly) who said she was a witch. And that she knows real vampires, and warewolves. She told me that she could sometimes talk to the dead, and she was possessed several times so people could communicate with the dead through her. Very strange girl. Kind of creeped me out. I tried explaining logical explinations to all things she would say, but that never over very well. It's a shame too, I liked the girl. Oh well. Aaron
  16. ok... they say its unsanitary, cross contanimation, etc etc.. but if they cleaned their equipment, there wouldn't be such problems... they are just being pricks... don't let it get to you... but if you really have stop... I would just use small pieces of velcrow
