  1. I have done time in the OR and even then tubes were missed. Perfect environment for the procedures to be done. It's a relatively simple skill, but needs to be routinely practiced. If a medic misses the tube in the field, people go all stupid about it. They start crying and saying such things as "omg why are you allowed to do these things?!". Yet when an MD misses the tube, it's just "wow, that must be a hard intubation.". People really should pull their heads out of their butts and realize medics are well trained health care providers. They don't show you the laryngoscope and ETT in school and not teach you how to use them or have extensive practice in using them. It's the people who think they know everything and say "I've done 1000s of these, I don't need to practice.", that give everyone else a bad rep.

  6. Oh, I read under your name it said "Soon to be North Carolina" Won't take you long at all to get to Delaware then. Your best bet is to contact services in that area and talk to the human resources department or a supervisor.

  11. People suck, that's about all I can say for situations like this and the people who just chose to ignore a person dying. Of course, there is always an exception to the rule of people suck. The majority of people are just, mean. For the 100 people that walk by the elderly lady trying to pick up her groceries that fell out of her bag on the street and just the one person who stopped to help her, doesn't necessarily make things right, but it is a start. Lead by example.
  12. HAHA, good point. I was just at a local eatery today. The guy making the food (hot dogs and burgers) standing at the grill, blew his nose, then went back to forming patties to toss on the grill. I walked out and went to Burger King instead. Not sure which was the better choice though.
  13. Next time you are in the states, let me know. That sounds like a good time for sure.
  14. Oh no, sorry. We got the food on our way back. No patient.
  15. Never been to Jim's bud. It has been a few years since I been down to Philly, and I wasn't driving. But in my defense, I did say "probably"
  16. I always like to get a manual pressure first. Then I will put on the automated one. IF they match, closely, I will be ok with that. There have been times where they weren't even close to each other though. That's why I don't rely on it.
  17. Awesome. Up until last year, Indiana didn't recognize it. There are a few terrorties that don't as well.
  18. I didn't know there was such a thing.... Now I feel left out and in need of a road trip.

  21. I don't think California would qualify for that one anymore.
  22. Gino's and Pat's are probably two of the most famous and best places in Philly to get cheese steaks. They are right across the street from each other.
