I have heard rumblings about some of the more up to date areas of the state possibly trying this. I can be fairly sure that it wont be in my area nor will it be in Los Angeles but other than that one can always hope.

When my father was terminal with cancer the hospice company brought what they termed a popcorn bed. it had a compressor that set over the top of the foot board and had hoses that ran into the mattress. It had different chambers in the mattress and as time went (over minutes) along it would move through the chambers so that there was never a constant pressure on anyone part of the body. I am not sure if this helps you but if you have any questions I can get in contact with the hospice provider here and see if they can tell me more about it and I will forward it to you ...just shoot me a PM

Ok I have been watching this thread for quite awhile and I have some opinions on it. I do own a firearm I am licensed to conceal carry in the State which I live I have never carried my weapon on an ambulance I carry it to work I lock it in my locker at HQ. I am the only one who has a key to my locker. I do my shift after that I Open my locker change and take my gun with me. I have worked with partners who carry weapons usually in the ankle since our company policy does not allow weapons on your person. Do I feel safer knowing that they are carrying HELL NO. I actually feel worse. What if they get in a tussle with a psych patient and it falls lose.... I rest my case... I never have and never will carry a gun on my person....

what kinda posters were they painted if so with what kind of paint...

Any evidence of recreational drugs...send another member of your crew to where the patient was outside and take a look around see if anything is out of the ordinary. What do the friends state that the patient was doing outside...

OK I don't know about Belleville but around here if you are wearing a shirt that says you are part of LE and your not you are givin and extremely hard time My small town the almost the entire police department lives in town or the immediate area outside of town then a majority of us are reserve officers. I do not know if it is truly illegal but it is frowned upon for the generic rent-a-cop to look like our police force. My town has actually stopped using a certain company because they wore badges that looked like our officers and there jackets said enforcement on them. Now do I neccesarily agree with all of this no but I do agree with most of it. Rent-a-cops and non LEO's should not be allowed to represent themselves as LEO's, just like I believe that non EMS people should not be allowed to represent themselves as EMS providers....geee that is a thought huh.... 4c you beat me to the bunch....

Congratulation on the pass man... I actually felt the same way about my NR test versus my Final... It was much easier than the final i think all good instructors make ti that way so that you will be over prepared for the NREMT...
