  1. Pretty slick . Although, it reminds me more of Abbott and Costello- whose on first.....
  2. He is thinking probably thinking what the hell, what am I doing shopping at Walmart??? No, anyway, what did the vomit look like, bs, and vitals....
  3. You missed the point entirely, and never did I say I was comparing prereqs. The statement by the original poster that "it was a semester long course from january to june. And it wasn't first aid, it was an EMT class covering anatomy and physiology as well" was disturbing. Just proving the point of a little knowledge can be a very scary thing, and especially those that don't even master the basics.
  4. Just to have some perspective, when I took A & P, I needed Organic Chemistry as a prerequisite. Organic Chem needed a sequence of 3 chem courses, in addition to biology courses. A good education is built on a foundation of basics and fundamentals, not a few months of a crash course. I think the most useful quote I ever heard was "the more you know, the more you know you don't know". Just something to think about.
  5. If they have to have that sign posted, I would be a bit nervous about their skill level going in there.
  6. Due to the original post of this thread, I think this is in to reference to "beating a dead horse...".
  7. You can sign a medical release and have total access to your records. You may be supervised to prevent you from taking or changing anything, but legally you can read anything you request. I see a reason for having someone watching, I once had a patient run out of the clinic with their xrays  . Yes, this would be the dumb ass who comes back to sue later as "no one" has records of the films they now desperately need.
  8. yes, if it was "aloud" that would certainly give it away...

  10. A Few Good Men: Lt. Weinberg: "I strenuously object?" Is that how it works? Hm? "Objection." "Overruled." "Oh, no, no, no. No, I STRENUOUSLY object." "Oh. Well, if you strenuously object then I should take some time to reconsider." Lt. Daniel Kaffee: I want the truth! Col. Nathan R. Jessep: You can't handle the truth! Bruce Almighty(and no I can't explain, for some reason I can't hear this line without laughing): Bruce: Hey, little anal-dwelling butt monkey. Time for you to go home, little buddy.
  11. It appears you are the only one doing that.
  12. I am happy for you Tigger! When I was pregnant with my son, one of my friends gave me this wonderful book. It was a journal, but was divided into monthly and weekly sections, showing each stage of development the baby was in, and had areas to write comments about what you were thinking and experiencing at each stage, and sections to write things like how you told family/friends the news, doctors appointments, deciding on birthing plan, names, etc. If you don't have one, I would get one. It is not hard to forget later some of the "little" stuff. It is such an amazing experience. The journal was great at the time, but even more fun to look back at now
  13. Kristo- I don't think the city is quiet, more that this has been covered. Here's a start: http://www.emtcity.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.ph...=eucation+basic Do a search and you will find tons of opinions and a general consensus regarding your question. Good luck

  17. Last night, my wife and I were sitting in the living room and I said to her, "I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and Fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug." She got up, unplugged the TV and then threw out my beer. She's such a bitch......
