  8. Well, I don't know if they really had a shred of evidence no matter how they candy coat it. Of course, it appears she was lacking in sense. How sad, I suppose should the scales of justices might see to just let her off, that would just be icing on the cake for her. Alas, the horrible side effects of crack.
  9. Yep, caught rubbernecking. I had read the wife would never release the tapes. Can't blame her, but I was shamefully drawn in.

  12. "...The study echoed earlier research by Mass Spec Analytical, based in Bristol, that found the drug on more than 99 per cent of banknotes in London. Some German police forces are now advising consumers to use gloves whenever dealing with cash — and to spend as quickly as possible..." Rumor has it further studies are being funded by VISA, MC, Discover, American Express... Happy Holidays!
  13. I can empathize until the "Get rid of the fruit cake" line... Does anyone actually eat that??????
  14. Dahlio- Why would you think this is dumb, especially if you are focusing on A & P? Go for it. But why not purchase the text you will be using for your training? My $0.02 to you, study to learn the information, not to pass the test. Good luck lol Asysin, saw your post after I posted....
  15. http://www.local6.com/news/4408404/detail.html Why dust, you want to rent it??
  16. I think it was Ruffems that said things would get ugly. We all make mistakes being young. It does make me question the wisdom of putting those too young in the EMS position. It is asking professionalism, discretion, and adult behavior in addition to placing significant power, responsibility and trust in the hands of those who are not yet adults in society's eyes. I certainly recognize this is hard enough in those of us over 25, 30, 45, etc.... however, life experience, education, maturity does change who you are. But those that abuse it should be called on it (and let me say right now I am in no way implying everyone underage abuses their position). If you screw up, you either learn from it and benefit from it or you don't. If you can learn from it, fantastic. I hope this person is not chased away, drawn and quartered, flogged in the streets, or burned at the stake. Let's not all go to bed mad.
  17. Ya, I find this works for a discount sometimes.. hehe. And they say no shirt no service, whatever.
  18. I would add a glass of red with a splash of Visine, and serve it with a smile of course....
  19. Wearing an uniform that identifies you as EMS does elicit public trust. To use it to gain special privileges is without question unprofessional. I have seen this by older members of the field as well as younger...the "I am entitled" attitude. I find it very embarrassing for the rest of us (not that I am saying I never received a discount or had someone buy coffees- but I never sought it out and I always felt very grateful). As far as this person's actions, it may just be arrogance and immaturity. However, using it to do something illegal shows an extreme lack of judgement that I would hope that he gives some serious thought and reflection. I would also hope he recognizes when in uniform, his behavior reflects on others in the field. I do not see any benefit resulting from naming names. If a lesson can be learned and a potentially career ending attitude change, then AK's post has achieved a positive goal. my .02 cents Happy Holidays all!
  20. HFM or impetigo- blisters on hands is somewhat rare
