you know it never fails, every time someone posts a little joke on here there is at least one Person who has to criticize it. I found it hilarious! Who cares how the public perceives EMS. Besides, do you have proof that the public perceives EMS in the matter of it being one big joke? As long as you do your job and you do it right that is all that matters. You cant control all the other idiots out there that don't take their job seriously and who give it a bad image, just as long as you dont. It doesn't matter what career you get into, there is always going to be one person who is going to be the 'screw up' of the group and make things look bad, but that doesn't mean that the public perceives that profession as just one big joke. IF your that self conscious that a little spoof video like that is going to make the profession look bad then you have issues. Live a little, laugh a little & Lighten up!

This is an easy one because my brother has it, Osgood-Schlatter disease is a disorder of the lower front of the knee where the large tendon under the kneecap (patellar tendon) attaches to the bone of the leg below. The condition is characterized by localized pain and tenderness in this area. Osgood-Schlatter disease is predominantly seen in young adolescent boys. It is said that stress on the bone from the tendon tugging it during activities leads to the disease. now what is Loeys-Dietz Syndrome?

As far as infidelity goes, I've heard there is a high rate of it in EMS as well. I did some talking with a medic friend of mine who has also heard this and its just so easy to hide. If your in EMS your rarely home and its so easy to tell your spouse your going out on a call, yeah BOOTY CALL! Just easy to hide is what it boils down to. Unless your spouse is in EMS as well haha! BUSTED

New Years Eve of last year get a call for a diabetic pt complaining of "creepy crawly" feeling on his left leg. pull the bed sheet back and there are maggots snacking on a sore. that ended up being a LONG nite!
