I have gotten three refusals at a nursing homes already...... "Pt being annoying to us and wont shut up" Is not a chief complaint..... -
PA one EMT and one has to be at least CPR certified, but a person w/ CPR and medic together is illegal

I agree but don't agree, I agree vollies do it out of there heart, like me, being a volly FF. But I disagree with paid part, i do it cause I want to be a paid EMT and I enjoy it, I would volunteer on one of my off days if I had a volly EMS close by. I know many paid fire fighters or EMTS/medics doing it for money and would not dare go volly.

Pittsburgh just had a problem with this, slow times, but I am not surprised by this, I will just leave the comments to myself about Pittsburgh EMS. -
You get texts on what hospitals are on divert and etc?? wow! tahst impressive! Wish we did! We have hospitals here that are slow with only three patients there, I have brougth patients in and waited 10 minutes for a nurse, finally got one after I said "Am i invisible?"

Uniforms - How should we dress for the heat?

we wear same all year round, the light blue shirts and pocket pants, I would like Polos or T-shirt in summer, but doesnt matter to me. Half my co-workers dont wear proper uniforms anyway -
We could be sanitation workers and get peoples garbage, thats great money here. Or in PA be a turnpike tool booth worker, there salary is ridiculous and great benefits.
