My partner at a former ambulance service used to always play another one bites the dust when we were working a code (he was a little sick and twisted - prompted the service to quit buying ambulances with CD players in them)....great guy though and we had a good time with it. Lightened the mood a bit.

I tell my students that if they need to remember how fast to do compressions...either hum "Stayin Alive" by the BeeGees, or if you don't like that, "Another One Bites the Dust".

Just...don't hum Another One Bites the Dust in front of the patient's family...may be ugly...

Not necessarily strictly EMS, a former partner told me of one night, while responding to a mutual aid call from a neighboring department's 3rd alarm, one of their engine companies, which had a stereo system built into their siren, was playing Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyrie" while coming over the bridge, at top volume!

Back in the early '80's there was a band that was called "EMS Express". They did songs of EMS in sort of country/bluegrass style. They were pretty good actually. Song's were a riot.
