What is the most common call out in your area?

Everywhere else: the usual geriatric problems.

I think if we were to look at the real statistics, most of us would find that the most common "call" in our systems are wrong numbers and 911 hang-ups.

considering our customer base has become 80% medicare patients, i would have to say that our most common call year round is cva/tia. with femur fx coming in at a high second.

I would bet your wrong. I bet like all of us most common is BS calls. ( my toe hurts, I vomited once, I sneezed last week, I missed the bus to my appointment, I'm hungry take me to lunch, etc.) Yes instead of a life saver just like the rest of us you are a taxi driver.

The fact that ALL cell phones can dial 911 doesn't help. Remeber that next time you give your toddler your old cell phone to play with.

In my neck of the woods we have a lot of SOB calls or chest pains. And MVC's at least 20 a month, i live in the north woods so we are good at missing each other but the deer get us everytime!

Stomach aches, stubbed toes, maybe a bite from one of the local cobras, or frustration of being so far from home. It's in the middle of nowhere, 2 hours to the closest hospital in Chokwe... But you don't wanna go to that one. The one u wanna go to is in Maputo... 5 hours away. Can anyone guess where I work?
