  1. i personally can see your frustration, i work for a private ems service that is metropolitan based, and when time comes for run review, they always seem to highlight the fact that our transport and hospital times our longer. yet the forget to realize, that we have to travel a greater distance, not all roads are paved and the we alot of time are assisting the smaller er's and you may have just picked up your closest neighbor.
  2. considering our customer base has become 80% medicare patients, i would have to say that our most common call year round is cva/tia. with femur fx coming in at a high second.
  3. i'm pretty sure wisconsin still honors them, but i personally would pursue a medic program that is offered as a certificate program in a year and half or less, because in this day and age with full time jobs and family who has the time to become a fulltime student all over again
