  6. 12 Looks Like the max I tried to increase it, but the editing just put it in another line....so there BOREDOM WORKS!
  7. Know the feeling man....that's how it was here up until recently.....now, FINALLY, it's a 30 day suspension if you are the one that rolls a crash-rescue vehicle before an ambulance.
  8. Funnily enough, my crew only went out on one run....guy was light headed.....good reason because when we put him on the monitor, he was SVT all the way. A trial of Adenosine later and transporting. Other than that, it was a fairly quiet day.
  9. As far as order goes here.....I believe it's the three longer tubes....(green, yellow & purple), then the shorter pink tube.....we draw the blue tube last because if I'm not mistaken, it has heparin in it.

  13. EVOC is manditory down here in Southwest Virginia. 8 hour classroom & six station practical. Also, my department requires 10 hours of precepted driving under a preceptor before being released to drive. Also, the precepted time CANNOT be responding to a call unless it is code 1.
  14. Down here in Southwest Virginia, the facilities want labs before fluids are infused.
  15. I use a saline lock on all patients. Depending on the situation and need for fluids, I will attach a bag of fluids to the lock as necessary. I've just found it easier to not accidentally yank out the IV that way. Also, our primary receiving facility will accept labs drawn by EMS, so 90% of my patients that would get labs in the hospital will get labs drawn in the ambulance. Just makes it easier on my facility and keeps the nurses happy.

  17. A Basic working knowledge would be nice.
  18. lol....know how you feel....if I EVER have to call for an ambulance response, the crew is going to hate me and I'll have to sign AIC, because I'll start my own IV and bark orders the entire way.
