As a person who gets lost very often :? I can tell you that maps are your friends, just make sure that the map you have is up to date. When I did my ride along a few years ago, the crew was still consulting a map that was 2 years old, the city had changed a lot since then... so of course they had to use their intuition... which made the ride not very comfortable :? . How dare you, try to suggest RMA???!! Who gave you the right to refuse better treatment to your pt? I know you are going to say you didn't, but you tried by bringing that RMA up. I ask the same question Teri did... how did you, in all your wisdom, know there was no active bleeding??

Maybe you won't look through someone's cell phone, but the person(s) who will assume care of your pt. might. So don't worry, don't sweat it... someone will take care of that for you. The ICE thing has actually been done by people who is pretty aware of their condition, just like SJ said IN CASE they are found unconcious on the side of the road by non-medical people. But you know, sometimes when they are having an emergency they'd rather call 911, so they can get help from professionals, instead of their family members. Rock on.

This woman could've sat through hours of sex ed. and at the end do the very same thing they told her not to do. What is lacking here is responsibility and accountability. It has become easier to blame things on others and/or pretend that they didn't know, than to assume ownership for one's acts. Don't tell me she didn't know she was pregnant, when she obviously knew what she was trying to flush down the toilet. If she had honestly not known, she probably would've been screaming like a nut in that bathroom, not trying to hide it. She had options and better ways to deal with the problem, than just to do what she did. And yes, what she did was awful... but is done, now she has to face consequences. What will happen if we punish her? Will it stop the behavior? Maybe, maybe not. The question lies therein.

In Colombia, there's either a nurse or a doctor with a so-called paramedic (someone from the red cross or civil defense with EMT-B training) working in an ambulance. However, there's a new proposal directed to change this, where paramedics are trained as paramedics who can work in the prehospital setting while the nurses and doctors are in the hospital waiting for the patient. what's his past medical history? Has he had mumps, scarlet fever, or the flu ??? Is he still siting in the waiting room?? if so, get him in and have him lie down.!

Does this pain radiate somewhere else?? Now, does he have a fever??? :wink: Does the pain get worse when he is standing, sitting, or lying down? What makes it better? Does he have any bruising in the area?
