Solution to NJ EMS problem?

Recommended Posts

I agree with Asysin. It is what it is. But who cares, really. To petty over something this small is like pouring a cup of water in the ocean; something stupid and insignificant while you still have a bigger, more significant problem to deal with. Like...... THE TOPIC AT HAND. Thank You.

I have been doing ambulance work for ages, but never thought I'd see MY "meatwagon", my very first ambulance, on display. Thanks for the photo posting.

(lol)

That seeming German (?) mobile home ambulance? Where I come from (New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation EMS, and now the FDNY EMS), that is a MIRV, or Major Incident Response Vehicle, which is an outgrowth of the older MERV, or Mobile Emergency Room Vehicle. Such vehicles can take care of up to 6 patients at one time, where a normal ambulance/rig/unit/bus/truck/" 'bolance' " is only allowed 2 strecher cases at a time.

A local chief calls his ambulance, on the air, the "gut box". I can't stand that sob anyway.. But that is just so annoying, it makes me want to go to the scene hit him with some large, blunt object.

Derogatory terms for ambulances aside, if you'd like, visit this link for examples of a well-functioning OEMS (imho). They really have their act together. They are division of the state DOH, but they function as their own entity, and do a darn good job of it!
