LBGT (GAYS) in EMS

I've known several transgendered and transexual individuals. All I can really say for certain is that if a transexual were to be recognised as such, especially post surgically, they would be devastated. A transexual has only one desire, and that's to be accepted as an individual of their preferred gender. I've known TS individuals, some of which were close friends, to commit suicide solely because someone heard from someone else that she used to be a guy and "outed" them because it would be fun. Not realising that they've just irrevocably destroyed someone's life.

I guess that is why I say I can't honestly state a "yes" or a "no" answer to the question Kat....they type of person you just described would probably not bring any unwanted attention upon themselves and we would probably get along just great :) but some of the visions I had when reading the thread earlier in regards to ghoulish makeup and such would lead me to think it might take some adjustment on my part~~

Truth is, a person probably never really knows the answer to that until it happens~~

Yes and yes. My only real exposure to a transsexual/cross dresser, at a previous employer we had a mechanic who cross dressed, he would come in with some eye liner still on, or fingernail polish still on. Didn't effect his work, or his professionalism so I didn't care!

So assuming that you have no problem with a transsexual/crossdresser working with you. Would you feel comfortable in sharing hugs on special congratulatory occasions?

Heck no. Not in the least. It would be strange but it's not like I'm going to catch what they have (sarcasm).

To each their own I always say.

I've got no problems with it. Spit swapping might go a little beyond my comfort level, but have you seen some of the tranny porn? There are some pretty hot ones...er...so I hear.
