If you think revenue is not important for your service, go talk to your chief ? Rural Metro and AMR are both in all out 911 acquisition mode, and they are telling municipalities that they can do 911 for zero subsidy or low subsidy. If you think you have job security, you are sadly mistaken.

It's a province wide system here, not private. The only similarity is that they want us to do more for less, which always happens with government controlled businesses.

I was recently having a debate with another member about wages. I won't get into the local details, but here in Alberta, the city wages are nearly frozen while the rural wages are skyrocketing. T
