  1. It's a real problem for patients in the Phoenix area. No choice. But it's also a problem for those seeking employment. I really don't want to move. I've lived in Phoenix a long time, but it's frustrating to have few (or really no) options.
  2. I have been wondering about this myself. My guess would be no, but there is a chance that's wrong. I may be able to glean some information about this in a couple of days.
  3. I had a call at 0500 for a man that said he couldn't feel his legs. Found him outside waving us down all showered and shaved.
  4. Have you heard of the Code Green Campaign? You can find them on Facebook. They are a fantastic resource.
  5. Well, I'm not from 10 years ago, but I am an old friend.
  6. I joined this site when I had just started EMT school. Ed was the first to welcome me to the site and encourage me with my schooling. I am very sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to you and your family. He will be missed.
  7. Well, I'm the violinist here. Welcome future EMT and fellow string player!
  8. The chat in one of the "other" EMT sites is pretty active. I've actually made a few friends that way. This thread is a form of chat, but just not as immediate. For the record, and not that it's all that enticing, I would use it.
  9. The only person I am in competition with is the person I was yesterday.

  10. Good stuff. although I would add "gal" to number 12.
  11. I've been really busy. Been gone for a while. Anyone miss me? Lol
  12. It's full time with Rural Metro. Orientation starts Monday. I'm pretty stoked. Oh wait....has this been posted already?
  13. New to the site (sort of) . Too lazy to see if something on page 5 has already been posted.
  14. Keep busy. Don't sit and "chill". If there's nothing to do, ask someone if they need help with something. Be eager (but not annoying).
  15. Welcome. Where in NY? I'm a New Yorker born and raised.
  16. My father was considered a quadriplegic. He could feel his right side, but could not move it and he could move his left side, but could no feel it. (And to keep the thread true....a pic)
  17. When is the last time the chat was functional? It would be nice to just, well, chat once in a while.
