Food for thought You have gloves, you stop and something unpredictable happens and now you're expose (blood in your eyes or in an open cut whatever the case may be) What happens ? Who covers you? Who pays for your care?

When we went over static cardiology, all the instructors wanted was the treatments that could be rendered. They didn't mess with us or give us too much into the scenario. Just "treat the patient" Just know the treatments for every strip, and remember the treatment for a pt in normal sinus rhythm(or other 'stable' rhythms there are no algorithms for is oxygen, and txp)

Nope, could be the triage nurse, or a doctor if you're bringing in a notification, makes sense but I don't see many times where this terminology would be applied.

Going to be different everywhere you work. Ask a supervisor how to get in touch with the med director.

How was he identified? Did I know him to be a surgeon or did he announce himself as one? If he announced himself he pretty much volunteered to help, If I knew him to be a surgeon, where does his duty to act come into play? This is an interesting twist but still doesn't have absolute answers.
