  1. I swear that I just saw a bat that must have been launched from an aircraft carrier... Or it might have been a dragon. I'm not sure... I was going pee and didn't want to pee on my foot...not even to see a dragon...

  2. http://www.chasing-my-life.com/the-komo-market-unfinished/ I tried to put together a blog post about an experience that I had the other day. I don't really know how to do that as well as I'd like. But I'd hinted at it, so I'm going to post what I have and I'll try and work out the rest later. You know those experiences that you sometimes have, that, when done, you think, "Man, that was really cool....I hope it never happens again." For me, this was one of those.. But I love it still as it...

  4. I just notice my own tag and it made me wonder...has anyone seen Systemet in a while? Know what's going on with him? I miss his big fat brain here...

  5. Just enough bandwidth to get on facebook, not quite enough to download porn... I know! I should be happy to see you all! And I am...mostly....I'm just a little conflicted is all...I just need a moment to mourn....

  6. Sorry for the flood of posts everyone...but I only have about 30 mins a day when I have internet good enough to post pics...besides, they're good, right???

  7. In my email from Living Social deals, "$45 for a 90 minute facial!" Really? That doesn't seem like such a great deal. You should be able to get about, say, 30 of them in the amount of time...and most everyone I know would do it for free... Just sayin'...buyer beware. You're welcome....

  8. Fairy tales told from an EMS perspective... The Ant and the Grasshopper: Ant works hard all summer, storing food and building a house, while Grasshopper whiles away the warm summer months singing and lazing in the sun. When winter comes, Ant is warm, dry and well-fed, and Grasshopper suffers the consequences of his laziness and improvidence. Sure, maybe it worked that way in Aesop's fable, but in EMS, Grasshopper sucked up to management, pencil-whipped his rig checks and rendered substandar...

  9. And it's not always the way that you'd think.... “Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike; each has their suffering. Some suffer too much, others too little.” ~ The Buddha

  10. Epic party last night in a nice hotel in the jungle. There was dancing, hilariously funny jokes, tear jerking stories, CCR playing over and over on the computer....Yeah, so it was just me and a Litre of tequila, but still. It seems like about the last thing that I remember is logging onto facebook, laughing my ass off, thinking, "You shouldn't post right now." And then, " But I'm just so damn funny right now! Everyone deserves to share in my brilliant funnyness!" My apologies if I implied I...

  13. Why did this make me laugh out loud? I've no idea...but as badly as I wanted to, I couldn't help it... "My friend got really pissed me today He Caught me wanking...While smelling his sister's panties. I think what made him maddest was that she was wearing them at the time. That, and that his whole family walked in an saw it too. .... It made the rest of the funeral really awkward...."

  14. As I'm helping Dylan with his Lego project I'm wondering if it's still considered quality father/son time when despite my very best efforts to contribute, hour after hour, about the only words I hear are, "Um, that's not right", "I already did that part", and "Dad, I think I should do this by myself."

  17. (Borrowed from Chip Stannard, as there was no share button.) Funny non the less.. The Most Interesting Medic In the World.... He delivers babies with Apgar scores of 11. Patients offer to name their illnesses after him. His chest compressions are so effective, 90 a minute are enough. He has more standing orders than his medical director. Hospitals divert their patients to him. He secretes his own disinfectant. Nursing homes prepare elaborate patient histories just for him. He finishe...

  23. "Sometimes in our spiritual work we feel like we are working and working but not getting anywhere. We have to know with certainty that even though we don’t feel it, the earth is still moving. Even though we don’t see it right away, our changes create a shift. As long as you’re on the path, you are making progress, even though you may not feel the movement. The work keeps on going whether you feel it or not. As long as you stick with it, you’ll be given opportunities t...

  24. If you look for the truth outside yourself, It gets farther and farther away. Today walking alone, I meet it everywhere I step. It is the same as me, yet I am not it. Only if you understand it in this way Will you merge with the way things are. ~ Tung-Shan ~

  25. "The planet does not need more 'successful people'. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds. It needs people to live well in their places. It needs people with moral courage willing to join the struggle to make the world habitable and humane and these qualities have little to do with success as our culture is the set.
