Blast. I usually differentiate the two most of the time. Maybe I should not post here until I can pay better attention to my spelling. Especially after a long class where my brain is goo. Their is correct for the first bold. Im using their because it is a attributive adjective to philosophy. However the second one is incorrect and I thank you for catching that. Since there is a non specific noun. It was hard enough to put into any resemblance of verbal conversation the first time. But I think in doing so I might have incorrectly presented what I felt. In short. I believe that if they should censor me I will develop a fear of saying that might not be viewed positively but may be necessary. Like saying something to a patient that might save their life. Such as a man whos no longer wants to go the hospital because his chest pain is relieved by nitro but depsite me saying his 12 lead is abnormal it will keep me from saying something tough like "sir you can die from this, you need to get checked out"

Okay. I know that was my comment. And might I ask why are comments such as this prevalent in the EMS community. Laughed at for the most part when the comment is made in the ambulance barn. But when I posted it on a forum I get smacked on the head with a news paper like the puppy who peed on the carpet. The people who make those comments are generally good emts and medics that are not biased or rasicst and in fact or dumping on their own race. So wheres the line crossing from bias to biggot. (please correct me if the terminology is wrong. My brain was fried from anatomy and physiology)

But there's a philosophy I have created that I have lived by since I was 10 and will continue live by for the rest of my life. In order to stay sane you must be insane. Do you guys know how much theft is involved with illegals.(My buddy is a rancher and he has lost hundreds of dollars in gear he had lost when He left his storage shed unlocked one night in Presidio. If I see anything walking on two legs that isnt a ranch hand I will be inclined to shoot. You cannot understand my reasoning behind this unless you live here. Living by the border can be some dangerous business. Note: A highschool buddy owns several acres in presidio. and from his house mexico is viewable only being 10 miles away or less. The only thing separating us and them is the rio grande (which is really low this time of year, in some areas you can walk through it down in the big bend national park) and a very thin line of border patrol.

I shoudlve mentioned that. When I stood up to my medic preceptor and walked off my clinical because he was being a condescending hosemonkey and treating me like a stretcher fetcher. He complained to the department and tried to have me not only banned from doing clinicals at the station. But the entire fire department as a whole. My ass got grilled when I came back but luckily he wasnt lead medic on the box. I was nearly removed from the paramedic program because his fire buddies that liked him (one of the instructors I have as well) came to his rescue and aided his case. However due to several more complaints from other EMT and paramedic students addressed to the same preceptor cleared my name. And if you truely wish to make a strong case. Document, document document. Times, witnesses to each occurences, specific comments.

But I didnt say give patient fluids in my original post. I stated start two large bore ivs and keep at to keep open rate. and from what I understand TKO is usually 5-10ml per hour. And even running two for a ten minute transfer to the hospital it would give only a fraction of that. However I would like to state if given the option to use a saline lock over TKO i would. Less tubing and stuff to carry in with me. But I want that second IV because even though it is controlled I do not know if it went through an artery or major vein and the only reason that it stopped bleeding is because that pole has plugged the hole. Id be worried that while enroute the pole shifts and it unplugs the vein or artery it punctured.
