  2. Actually AK and ADmin have been in the chat room at the same time. So if it turns out to be AK then we need his alter ego banned becuase we all know here, we cannot have two user names.

  4. Now spenac, it's your program you answer the question.
  5. oh so this is Spenac's site. I knew he would have adjuncts to his 3 day paramedic course. This must be one of those adjuncts.
  6. how bout the "You are an amazing medic" That's what got me.
  7. There is an ad for www.parameducators.com which says Pass or your money back. I was looking at their website and I found something really peculiar Open this link http://www.parameducators.com/Parameducato...creenshots.html and scroll down to the Question Screenshot. Read the question and tell me what sticks out to you as strange? It is part of the question. Makes me wonder what the rest of their medic questions are like. I'll give the answer after a few posts.
  8. Well at least he came back. narrowing bp would be this wouldn't it? 120/80 and then 120/100 and then 120/104 etc etc. Not, what was posted. Shane There have been some criticism on your posts but to come back for more is commendable. Can you give us more concrete answers to our questions. All you seem to do when you do return is to give one or two sentences and answers to one or two questions when there are multiple questions to be answered. I would suggest answering Afib's post first.
  9. WEll according to spenac's theory, ER Doc has an R in it so maybe ER Doc is admin?
  10. Laura Anne, great post. I think that was the reason why I was so disappointed at the initial responses to this story posted. No-one knows anything more than what was posted in the article and to immediately attack her parenting skills was what I took exception from. Not the fact that Southwest kicked them off, I agree with that.
  11. Jeez JP I'm sorry you take issue with what I asked. I thought I was clear but you apparantly don't think I was. I was trying to avoid the nasty political discussion that this issue seems to bring out in all of us. I was not squashing nor prohibiting those who wanted to voice their reasons behind their votes, I was merely trying to stave off the negative and nasty posts that I thought might come out of this thread. We all know how much this issue polarizes our society. What I was not wanting was people getting very upset over this issue. I have said in other posts on this that discussion is good. What I did not want was this thread to go where it did which was down the road of diversion. sorry if I wasn't clear enough. AK Lock this thread please.
  12. Actually, this was not posted to be a joke, that's the way that the discussion went. Blame AK I was really wanting people to post yes or no if the supported amnesty. I did not want a political discussion, I wanted actual good discussion but apparantly that did not happen here . I'm disappointed in that aspect. AK can you lock this post, OR can we have a valid discussion of the question asked?
  13. you got that just from his two scenario posts? That's good detective work but alas, I fear it might be true. you never did send me what I pm'd you to send. I'd like to see them.
  14. the other question I have to ask those in the southern hemisphere. why does the water in their drains go the opposite circular motion than it does up here. And what's with the driving on the wrong side of the road???
  15. Yes this does make them illegal, if they were not invited here and came in without the required green card(green ha ha) or appropriate papers then yes they are illegal.
  16. I never said that I was against any one nationality. If you are here illegally even if you are scandinavian then you are here illegally. In my opinion there is no difference. Never once did I focus on one nationality over another.
  17. oh my goodness yes I did miss it. If anyone watches Jeff Dunham and his friend Peanut, just do the hand gesture over my head. ruff slinks away with tail between legs and into cave.
  18. then why does the government say that there are 12 million illegal immigrants. That's a figure that was posted on a web site i was on. But if they don't exist then why does the government want to give those that don't exist a path to citizenship?
  19. All I want is a Yes or no answer. Do not make this into a political discussion. If this thread can stay civil then discuss but if it becomes politically charged or gets down to name calling and the like then I'll ask it to be locked. I'm just wanting to know in an impromptu poll whether or not our responses here reflect the national polls. CAVEAT This has nothing to do with what nationality you are. If you are mexican, african, eastern european or Antarctican it makes no difference in this poll. Illegal is illegal.
  20. for the spitters, theres always the Hannibal lecter mask.
  21. sorry to disappoint, but they will be accepted. Too much effort went into them. Besides some of the documents were done in formats that would not format well on the forums. If they looked like crap and they didn't flow well then they would not have been given the scrutiny that would be the right thing to do. So if you want to send me your submissions via email that's fine. Send them to michael.ruff@maxithc.com If you wish to not submit because I've changed the rules then that's fine too. But Lone, I know you have some good ideas, we've talked about them in person. Besides, who's to say that the winning submission is not one that was posted here? And finally, I should have posted in the original post that I had the right to change the rules in midstream. It's your choice, post them here or email them or don't participate. I dont' really see the issue. Plus I don't see anyone else here doing something like this. This is a valid and good learning experience. My previous contest on spec'ing out an ambulance was another very good learning experience but too many people bitched and moaned about it, so I cancelled it. But the bottom line on this contest is, if you think that by my changing the rules so that those who obviously put in several hours putting their submissions together is unfair then by all means don't enter.
  22. no you arent' justifying why the course makes you personally a good medic. I want justification from you as the course admininstrator and course developer why this course is a valid alternative to the conventional educational wisdom. If you can tell me that your students make better medics from such a short course then you will win a prize. It has to be believable though, I know you Spenac, I can see you giving me an off the wall answer that would be absurd but you would be able to pull it off.
  23. Ok, new subcategory for this contest. Shortest medic class. submit the bare minimum for a medic class that you think would be appropriate for a cookbook medic. 2 week courses apply here. So if you think that a medic can take care of patients with only 1-3 hours of cardiology and 1 hour of resp, then go for it. but if you do take this angle you must JUSTIFY why you think that your program can produce a good medic. This might be a great angle for you to take Spenac.
