I read the link, and recall then NYC Mayor Giuliani, and former New Jersey Governor Whitman, assuring everyone at "Ground Zero", the World Trade Center collapse zone and surrounding areas under the resultant dust cloud, that there was no danger from breathing the air in the WTC area.
