What do ya'll think about this? I would love to see some studies done on it, but I'm not sure how it will catch on with riders

That is a super interesting concept! I wonder if it works as they hope it does...similar to induced hypothermia worked for a spinal cord injury. In theory, it makes sense. But I have to agree - studies would be super interesting and the results would be captivating....

That thing is HUGE. It would surly interfere with riding. Unless you ride in a straight line down a highway that is not very busy... I think it would be more dangerous than helpful. I have ridden bikes for years, and my head is always moving. Looking around my shoulders, into the mirrors, on the ground, looking into my turns, and just general movement to keep my neck from getting stiff. It would cause problems.

It does look bulkier than my RX7, but doesn't look too much moreso than a lot of the modular helmets on the market. I'd like to try one while wearing my leathers and see if it's bulky enough to interfere with the aerohump on the back.
