All I know is that around here, no LEO training, no weapons can be carried or used. Even if they had weapons training.

They go through the same weapons training as LEO.

Weapons training is pointless without the legal theory that supports your decision making process.

They have been doing it for 30 years, with out a problem!

Emergency response isn't about what usually happens. It's about the worst case scenario. That's the whole point of having a specialised team of professionals.

That is the point of having the weapons training. If it comes down to the medic having to shoot someone, then that means the six guys in front of him are down. By then no one will care what the press thinks of a medic shooting a suspect.

That is why they train, for worst case scenarios. These guys are a team of specialized professionals!
