  1. i don't agree with police officers having tazers

Now thats the argument of a pacifist. I guess they should just smack them with a batton or a 9mm instead? I think you will find mace/pepper spray has potential to cause more problems than a tazer....maybe we should just take everything of the cops and give them some whistle so they can try and scare assailants off? What a joke.....

  2. whoops

    in this order....

    Replace valium immediately

Account for morphine, both new and old

    Recall witness

    Edit drug register as necessary

Issue a bad boy pay more attention speech

Systems review and determine if the system contributed to the error. Alter accordingly

  3. Read carefully and you will see that I was contributing to the conversation about Phenergan and other CNS depressants with the information readily at hand. You and I have always gotten on well, so this little attack coming from you is quite a surprise, especially since you have been known to whine from time to time yourself.

It was nothing more than you deserved for your post, however I missed this little gem of a backhanded compliment - though it is a funny little thing...thanks for the laugh, i needed that.

I am however confused at the the citation in your example? is it the website you are referring to? The problem with web based data is verifying its validity is and can be tough. Try to draw information from reputable e-journals that are peer reviewed and have specific referencing on its content. Using web sites often give highly inaccurate information (duh) or accurate information that has no supporting evidence/documentation to qualify its validity such as sources that reference other texts. Anything less is highly unreliable and does not stand up well in academia.

One thing i have learned is that citing an e-journal as a web reference seems ro carry less weight than citing the same article as a periodical when they are in fact the same document....go figure

    -EDITED-

spelling error thoughtfully pointed out by NREMT-Basic as a petty little attack in a PM...Good on ya mate! :D

  4. You should pay more attention to my post Basic...

I said you seemed surprised it suprresses the CNS, i didn't say you denied it.

I also said that opinions are valid evidence BUT they are the lowest form of evidence. I paid attention to your post, you just didn't pay attention to mine

ERDoc - Public announcement, keep edjucating and posting my friend :D

  5. You know it was quite an informative read until you posted this BS line at the end

Being only a Basic, I full well expect to get bashed for having done some research and daring to post it. Thats ok though. I know what my own research and personal experience have shown and am confident in the information provided to me by my pharmacist friend.

What do you think you are some kind of pioneer for doing this? Irony is if you do get bashed, it wont be because you are a basic, but because you threw in a whining whinging little tantrum comment at the end.

Personal experience and expert opinion though valid, are the lowest form of evidence in EBM. What you refferred to as a "spate" of literature is what you should be referring to. Personal opinion and expert opinion are not research, so in fact you really did nothing except have a phone call with your pal and post it here.

You seem surprised that adminsitration of one CNS depressent with another CNS depressent may in fact....wait for it.....depress the CNS?
