No offense taken... it was that statement in particular..about how a pt would feel if they saw one on you...so what I say..that is all I was addressing. I still like ya for who you are...

That wouldnt bother me at all. Do you think of all the hundreds of thousands medics, EMTs, doctors, nurses are 100 percent healthy?? You have no clue about your own personal physicians health yet you trust them to take care of you. I myself have several conditions that partners need to be aware of but it has never in any way compromised pt care or prevented me from performing duties. Sorry but I take your comment as that of one who is very naieve or narrowminded if you think that would even be an issue.

I really don't see a difference between Joe Citizen and a medic wearing these alerts. They provide useful information. I used to have one for my extreme allergic responses, but I hardly ever wore and I had a partner that wore one cause he was diabetic. If you are unconcious or incapacitated for some reason they are or can be very useful. There are some now that will archive your medical records for you. When a doc calls they can access your full history.
