  1. Anyone know if Cheney had a non-resident licence or not? win
  2. I've a deep faith, but no way could I possibly tolerate 'christianity'. Too many of my family have been killed in the name of your "Jesus" I'm American Indian, and we've lost too many of our family members to overzealous types. As I said I've a deep and abiding faith in "One ABove" who is in everyone and everything, including the two legged, the four legged and the no legged. This includes the trees, the rocks and the stars. win
  3. on the other foot, if a non-Christian (put other religion here) refused to treat a *CHRISTIAN* because of XYZ. I have to wonder how they would settle that particular kettle of fish. win
  4. Faith should be a private thing, and people who put such beliefs above helping others DO NOT BELONG IN THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM!!! win
  5. has accumulated a fortune in paper back books. Not whipped cream, but marshmallow sauce...and the rest... (not saying poured on what...or who.)
  6. TN - ? Hx - History? Fx - Injury? Tx - Treatment Rx - meds (prescriptions) R/O - Rule Out CVA - cerebrovascular accident (stroke) HR - heart rate BGL - bilingual? blood glucose level? Others I will check later, when I'm back from the library. win
  7. I thought it was only me who was tuning my bow...(well, sorta, usually I use a hunting recurve, no sights, I'm NJ Female State Champ). Yes we get the cows too, and the old folks, and the addresses everyone knows. IN NJ! win
  8. this, but all these things happen in NW NJ also. And we carry snakebite kits too! win
  9. We get one teeshirt, (if there are any left,) BSI jacket, turnout gear for fire calls (we support our firepersons), err and I think that's it. We also get a small check at the end of the year for replacing clothing damaged while on call. I would definitely prefer if there were some kind of 'uniform' since we usually go into the ER looking like a ragtag motley crew. Some of the tee shirts worn by the drivers and others (usually the guys that help w/lifting) aren't always approporiate. Ah well, it is ALL volunteer. win
  10. In NW (rural) NJ, we are almost all volunteer BLS. ALS is paid for by the hospitals, I believe. I know they charge the patient when a medic is necessary. Our troubles with volunteer is during the day work week. It's very hard to get an EMT-B out there, or even a driver, in the hours between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. win
