Too many things that are not standard:

Education

Training

Competencies

Certifications

Licensing

Leadership

Medical Oversight

It may work well in some areas that have excelled in the above listed factors.

Which is precisely why it will never be the standard of care. Too many places that don't excel in the listed areas.

There are countless threads about RSI here at EMT City. Search them, read them and then feel free to ask more questions.

But, it should not be a standard. It does have it's place and application in prehospital care...but that application is limited.

No. I've seen too many people out there who shouldn't have drivers licenses operating as medics. I don't trust them to drive much less with the ability to paralyze someone.

Hell, I don't think some of my coworkers should have access to it and we're actually allowed to do it.
