Question: Is this Democracy in Action in EMS self governance in Alberta ?

NB: Registrars comment about who the College is responsible to the Minister the of Health, most sad information in Con Ed will not be shared with AHS EMS, the singular largest emplyeer in the province ... very curious.

Fact: About 68 members (out of 8500 in physical attendance) is a quorum after a 15 minute coffee break.

Listen to the explanation of over a million in the bank and the reason to increase membership fees.

Note: Many EMR passing examinations but failing to register protects the public ?

Listen to the response of registrar explaining the $300,000 in the bank for the surplus exam fees with a break even philosophy, is it just me that's confused, as here I thought a vinaigrette was something one puts on salad.

Listen to the new interest in Industrial EMS "regulated registered practioners" when there are no Inspectors in OH+S with a background in EMS or an ACoP inspector anywhere. With official letter in hand from OH+S that AHS inspects Industrial Clinics LOL, and that ACoP has any input into standards of Equipment carried in Industrial ALS units.

Very curious that the only motion on the floor was for ex President to provide "continuity" for new Council members.

Last but not least an adjournment before asking for ANY motions from the floor, FAIL.

btw: BRANDING is something you do to mark cattle in Alberta .. IMHO the new "Logo" is weak at best, why did council need to reinventing the logo wheel is way beyond me I liked the Old one WAY BETTER.

I am not sure why we need a new logo. Besides, when APPA became ACoP it took me forever to get use to the new logo. Besides personal preference, there is a cost involved in switching paperwork, forms, signs, and the like over to the new logo. Money, I think, we could have saved. Personally, what doesn't say Alberta EMS better than a logo that incorporates Alberta's geographical shape into it?

As for the rest of the AGM I think I will view it now.
