I'm not sure if this will work well in your EMS work but this application from Medscape looks really sharp.

Extensive drug checking of over 7000 meds

3000 conditions with info on them all

multiple cme and educational topics.

This might be the poor mans Epocrates or what not.

I don't have a Iphone or a blackberry so I can't say it's good or not.

I have had this app for quite a while.

It really is a great benefit for looking up drugs/diseases. I only have the free version so I lack a few features, but it is still a great tool.
