EMS, Facebook, murder and pictures

People will send me emails of gruesome deaths all the time and some of the senders are emt's. I really don't see the infatuation, most are not training quality and after seeing the different faces of death its not a recreational attraction to me. but they seem to think 'he's a EMT so he will think this cool'. Wrong

The article says 'he didn't mean to post it'....how do you 'accidently upload' something like that?

Last time I uploaded something, it was a 'deliberate act' on my part......

Isnt rotten.com enough for people to see that crap????????????

Death will always facinate people, no matter what we do, but it is stupidity like this that will lead to rules like carrying mobile phones with cameras banned etc. The stupidity of a selected stupid few will cause grief for the rest of us.

First and foremost, I do not have a cell phone.

Having stated that, I know there are some in the EMS, LEO and FD contingents that feel a picture helps the ER crews understand what happened at the scene of traffic accidents as an aid to showing method of injury.

I might even have possibly had use of this when I could not derail a Trauma Center Doctor's concept, that a victim I brought him, with her scalp off in a glove type of injury during a kidnap/severe beating, had nothing to do with the beachfront boardwalk, located 40 feet away, laterally, and with a 2 foot elevation over the vacant lot where the patient was found alongside a roadway. He couldn't understand that she hadn't fallen from the boardwalk, and that she had been either beaten there, or dumped there after being beaten.
