I had heard the other day of how nature was in a purely balanced state with it's self until man appeared on the scene and it's been going down hill ever since. When I was in high school and part of the debate team, one of the arguments in the global warming "venue" was that more fast food restaurants=more need for beef=greater number of cows. Cow farts are methane and contribute to global warming. I was kinda initially thinking that the article was going somewhere along those lines....
