Stupidity at it's finest

Ok so I went to Roosevelt High School in Des Moines Iowa from 1999-2004 and never once did this happen. There is a skywalk from the main building to the gym and the sides are plate glass from the floor to the roof. Apparently there were two students horseplaying and one fell into the safety plate glass window. It didn't hold him. He fell 12 feet to the pavement as well as the other kid. They were both transported. One had a skull fracture according to the paper and the other a concussion. When I drove by I saw the news vans but thought that they were doing an assembly in the gym. Not two kids falling through a window. Never thought that would happen but then about got hit by a speeding car doing 45+ in a 25.

I forgot to add that the families are possibly going to sue the school for something that the school didn't cause. The stupidity at it's finest is what a former teacher of mine called it. No I went for 4 years and Spenac please don't bring that up.

Kids are kids... they do things all the time that adults deem stupid but when you all look back to your childhoods...how many times could you have ended up just as badly hurt from something just as "stupid." I think that the parents have every right to sue the school if they wish because they are responsible for the safety of the students while on school grounds and from the information given they didn't do their job. Whether they tried to break up the rough housing or not I have no idea but an accident happened on their property and the parents can sue.

Hell--a woman sued the USPS for leaving her mail at her door step because she tripped over it and fell injuring her back... and she won...

So before you go judging the acts of others ... "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

Sorry, I was checking this with my cellphone and sometimes the smilies don't show up. This was a joke right? Sarcasm? Please?
