paramedicmike
No. Not Steve Martin's skit. Although, that's funny in and of itself. A friend of mine (who's more philosophical than I) and I recently had a discussion on feeling small. It's an interesting way to approach a topic if you think about it. Anyway, I came acrossthis site recently. Check it out every once in a while. It's certainly an interesting perspective. If it doesn't make you feel small...well, then I don't know what's wrong with you. -be safe

Upton4785
And the Earth is just a tiny, miniscule pebble compared to our solar system, which is a speck of dust on the rim of the galaxy, which is a microscopic entity floating around in the gulf of the Universe, made up of billions and billions of planets, stars and galaxies, and a whole lot of empty space. And as far as we know, we're the only ones getting to look at it all.

Richard B the EMT
Wait one...! I have proof that there is intelligent life "out there". You don't see "them" spending zillions of bricks of gold plated latinum to find out if there is intelligent life "down here", do you? (See ST/DS9) Lieutenant Commander Spock, of Star Fleet Command, reputedly said Beam me up, Scotty, there's no intellegent life down here.
paramedicmike
And as far as we know, we're the only ones getting to look at it all. It would be folly to believe we're the only ones. -be safe
