That reminds me, they have a special recruiting program for qualified RNs. I don't think they have much use for EMTs though.

While it is my understanding, per an article years ago in JEMS, that the French don't allow photographing their ambulance crews in action (the reporter, doing a ride-along, was nearly arrested for trying), I have no idea if they have any equivalent of the EMT there, or what their concept of a Paramedic is. To the Foreign Legion, perhaps the lowest known level of medical personnel to them IS a nurse.
