JakeEMT: I think Sharri Lewis, the late ventriloquist, and her "friends" LambChop and Charlie Horse, did the "Song That Never Ends" in the late 1950s, before the first appearance of Jim Henson's Muppets on the Ed Sullivan Show in the mid to late 1960s, and definately before either Sesame Street or the Muppets Show. Sharri died in the mid 1990s.

Spenac: You do know, while Manilow sang "I Write The Songs", he didn't write THAT song? Incredible, but True!
