  1. Just follow your protocols, if in the same state as your EMT was issued. As I'm not one, won't speak as to Paramedics and their protocols. I'd suggest to the OP to look up the many arguments of LEGAL versus MORAL obligation(s) to act, on this site.
  2. I can't stand up on ice skates, went zero for 100 in foul line shots on my own backyard basketball court, hit the baseball 1 time in 2 years in Little League (Last out of the last game), and am too afraid of getting hurt to play either Football or Soccer. I don't play tennis, either regular of table, as I seem to play "Kill the Ball" more than the game. Golf? My divots are the size of Roosevelt Island in the East River. It is safe to say I'm not really into sports.
  3. My math teacher used to tell us to add each set of numbers 6 times. I tried, but ended up handing in 6 different answers. NOW it is true!
  4. Page 71, posting 701, and, after returning... Finding out that this was my 6,722nd posting to EMT City overall NOOOOO! It just supplemented, still posting #6,721.
  5. Also, there has to be some time passed between postings, even if nobody else posts.
  6. No matter how long the posting is, the page takes 10 of them. That, and timing, is the quest.
  7. 3 to go before page 69, folks. I really don't care who gets the "honor".
  8. I stopped watching after the 3rd episode, as I simply found it borrrrrringgggg!
  9. I just realized, re MY Medic Alert dogtag: I should update to include that I'm primary caretaker of a person suffering from senility dementia symptoms.
  10. "The only way for two people to share a secret, is if one of them is dead" (Anonymous)
  11. Just mentioning in passing, as a part of EMS Week observation, the FDNY holds a brunch where the EMTs and Paramedics have a meal, and photo-op, with their ROSC patients. A few years ago, the NY Post showed 2 of the Paramedics from my station, each kissing a lady, from around the corner from my house, on the cheeks, at what is known as the "Second Chance Brunch"
  12. Please define "stripping time", so I don't get into trouble AGAIN (although it can be fun).
  13. I just realized I made a pun, unintentionally. I meant to say "Cheap", but with the Twitter "Tweets, perhaps my misused "Cheep" was better.
  14. Thanks, Kate, For other's reference, let us reanimate it at http://www.emtcity.com/topic/17529-pundemonium/
  15. Regrettably, the "kids" will always find the cheep laughs.
  16. Somewhere on the site is a string called "Pun-Demonium". When I get a good pun, I reactivate the string, but haven't done so for over a year. BRB, going to see if it's still there... Nope, probably too old, cannot find it.
  17. I have no known allergies to anything, but have on my Medic Alert device that I have a cardiac stent, and am a (on death) organ transplant donor. As for being in a "High Crime" area, one need not get too fancy, as my device is a Medic Alert Foundation (Turlock, CA) stainless steel "dog tag".
  18. Good days and bad days. Unfortunately, it comes with the illness, as we all might know from patient contacts, or our own family members.
  19. But only 590 replies to the original posting. This should be # 591. Addendum: Nope, 592. Or not. Seems each addemdum is considered yet another posting. When I added this, was 593, just look in the corner should now read 594. Either way, on this string, unless I have something significant, I'm just gonna lurk.
