MaryB you are missing my point,... The point I was trying to make is if you have a DNR tatt like the one above it is very detailed some are not as detailed. I have been looking online at some of them, some just simply have DNR some have it written out some just say no CPR and who is to say that any of these could not be mistaken for something else. Every one I know that has a tatt it has a story and some times the simple tatt could be misleading and actually mean something else.

Ok here is something else to think about. Yes the tatt I showed was very detailed. But what if my ex-boy friends name was Daniel Nathan Ringer and I have on my chest DNR with the with big no symbol across it and I need medical attention and cant tell you what my intentions are would you then decide to not give me the medical help I needed just because I have that and mistake it as a Do Not resusciate.

Thinking is not always a bad thing. When I became an organ donor I was under impression I could not be a DNR. I was just curious to see the different out look different people had on this subject. If I was still in EMS honestly I would code the person because you are going into a situtation blind. Yes he has a DNR tattoo but who is to say he wanted it carried out. People resend their DNR all the time. It is easy to tear up a piece of paper but a whole different thing to cover up a tatt. It is better to err on the side of caution than find yourself in a lawsuit. One greedy family member is all it to takes to make it a big headache for someone.

I would if I could figure out why it will not log me into the chat. I have removed the firewall allowed emtcity access deleted cookies restored use different browsers and still cant not log in. anyone have any suggestions?

Just for conversation sake would you honor this as a DNR? Why or Why Not. shoot that should have been in the topic line as a DNR not as as
