There is a specific machine in most gyms that is an arms strengthening machine.  It looks like a bench press but it's in a standing position.  You could use that machine to guage your strength and then work to increase.  

IT might be the shoulder press machine.  I'd have to go to a gym (nope homey don't play that game) and look at exactly what the name of the machine is.

Your videos are so informative and good to watch.  

have been unable to find the video.  It's not really a valid video for this as the second that the soldiers were sprayed with the cyanide gas they died.  I think it takes a bit longer for someone to die with Cyanide.  

I just remember the movie because it was so violent and at the time I was in junior high (1980)  I was sheltered at that age.  ha ha 

his was an interesting case, but sometimes, as we all find out, it may not overly work well in scenario forums especially since it is all dependent on if I give the correct information in the right places.

Plus it helps if more people participate than just a couple of people.  

Probably,  most trucking companies that I know fire their drivers the first accident so I'm thinking that with a careless driving citation while in truck driving school will pretty much preclude employment at Werner.  why don't you look them up on the internet, get their national number, call it, ask to speak to HR and ask them directly.

I'm going to transport now.  I think actually that with the eyesight issue that he's having a hemorrhaigic stroke that might be centered around the area of the optic nerve.  I've had a patient like that,  he stroked out, complained of his vision going in one eye and by the time we got him to the stroke center it was too late to do anything, he herniated in front of the ED staff.  It was a massive bleed and he died shortly after my getting him to the ER.

this guys having a stroke or his sugar is out of whack and your machine is wrong.  

I guess there could be other underlying etiologies but with my limited arsenal of equipment, let's get him tot he stroke center.  How soon can a bird be there versus you driving him to the stroke center.  

A CT is the very best diagnostic tool so is there a hospital closer with an available CT scanner?

The best cyanide video I ever remember was a world war 2 video where the platoon used cyanide to kill a enemy regiment while they were sleeping.  I cannot remember what movie it was from but the enemy regiment was a african regiment.  

Maybe the Wild Geese or something like that.  

My suspicion is that it's an early onset of Stroke that could benefit from a stroke center.  I'm not sure what else you can do for this dude in the field for an issue that needs a CT.  Unless you are on one of those fancy shmancy Stroke ambulances that get huge press but then no one remembers they are out there.  

I have not taken it but I have many friends who have and they can't say enough about the improvement in their medical care after they took this class.  

Why not take it NOW???  Unless there are reasons why you are waiting.

This post and also the other post from the lady who just screwed up her ACL caused by the drill sergeant douchbaggery of the 5 week accelerated course in florida.  

Guys we are a profession, these accelerated programs make us look like keystone medics and emt's.  it makes us look like we want to be hero's that started at zero.  

Firefighters don't go through this

Police officers don't go through this

doctors, nurses, CNA's, hair dressers, accountants, IT guys, or any other professionals do NOT go through these 5 week camps where you can finish your schooling in 5 weeks.  It's just in my opinion makes us look silly and short changes the student and also the patients that they are going to be taking care of.  

Can some people learn in that environment, sure they can.  Can they retain an entire 1000 page book in 5 weeks, possibly, but can they retain it enough to be competent I do not believe so. 

Do yourself a favor, take your time, learn the material and understand it.  The jobs will be there when you get done.  Trust me.  They were there when you started your search for a school and they will be there when you get out of school.  

No this forum is not for online classes or education.  I'm not sure where you saw that there were online courses.  

If you saw the CME link that was a banner ad, then that link was just for online medical education for physicians and that was an advertisement.  

There has never been any online education provided by this site.

No I do not but do not lose heart.  Just because you got screwed by this school, does not mean that all schools are like this crappy one.

Again, this school sucks big donkey balls.  I would think that you have some type of case and you might want to at least see what one attorney thinks.  Every attorney in Florida has a free consultation.  I would go see one.  

Again, punishing all students for the downfalls of other students is just douchbaggery.

I've never been asked about my vision for my paramedic license.  

Driver's license, that's a different story.  The only thing they wanted on my license was if I needed corrective lenses to read the screen of pictures.  If I couldn't read them without glasses then they told me to put my glasses on.  If I couldn't read them with my glasses then I don't know what happens because my glasses always did the trick.  I'm not sure what happens if you can't read the signs with glasses on.  

honestly, I for one don't really want to work with a blind partner.  Kind of need to see to do things like read medication labels (hate to reach of valium and grab Sux or Vec.  

Kind of hard to intubate someone if you can't see the chords.  

So I'm kind of on the side of if you cannot see to do this job then you really need to consider doing a different job, and don't even consider driving if you can't see.  but that should be a given.
