A couple were on the way back home after visiting the inlaws. They were travelling along a dark country lane when the guy suddenly swerved and accidently ran over a skunk in the middle of the road. They stopped briefly.

The girl noticed a young baby skunk on the side of the road looking sad and tearful. She pestered the boyfriend to take it with them until they can get it to the vet.

On the journey, the skunk began to shiver with cold and fright, the girlfriend asked what could she do to help it, the boyfriend replied "Put it on the seat in between your legs". The girl said "What about the smell?" the bloke just replied "You'll just have to hold its nose won't you"!!
