Job in Australia

Does anyone know of any vacancies for a Paramedic in Australia? I now hold the Diploma of Paramedical Science as I was RPL'd based on my UK and US qualifications. I am looking for somewhere that I can enrol on the intensive care paramedic programme but in the meantime I just need a job!

A work visa isn't a problem as I have been awarded a visa subject to me having $5000AUD in my bank account when I enter the country.

Get a hold of AussiePhil or BushyfromOz. They're both down that way. Phil can be found in the chat room pretty regularly. Bushy is here and there from time to time.

If anyone could help you with that it's probably one or both of them.

Good luck!

nr,

finally someone who wants to come to Gods Great Garden.

Firstly, do you have any idea where in Aussieland you might want to go?

I ask this as each state has its own service & conditions pay & RPL (Recognition of prior learning) will vary depending on where you go.

RPL will also only go so far. Queensland & NSW are both on recruitment drives & currency & how recently you have been working will allcome into play with any RPL.

The main thing to remember with any application, we are all government run & as such the wheels of action turn slowly.

Timmy gave you the contact for Queensland.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me & I will halp as much as I can.

Varies a bit from state to state....

If you cannot get in on a foreign recruitment drive, which you may be able to do as they are acceping UK applicants in some states at the moment, you may have a hard time as some services already require a degree to apply to be a student paramedic.

Bushy is here and there from time to time.

I miss you too mike :D

Heah Phil ,, will they recognize National Registry Paramedic from the US, or are medics down under much more advanced than the US .?????????

Varies between the states.

They will look at the qualifications you have & make a determination compared to what is taught & the skills required here. Sorry I cant give a difinitive answer!
