nremt-paramedic study guides....which are the best ??

I'm looking at multiple study guides many of which seem credible. Does anyone have positive or negative feedback on any particular study guides for nremt-p ??

I already have the nremt-p practice exam from nremt.org

any recommendations ? :shock:

I used the Brady Essentials of Paramedic Practice for my original NR, which I took 3 years ago. I found the workbook and the text very useful for studying. I've been NY State certified for almost 21 years (but never needed NR). I found the books to be helpful and passsed the registry written and practical on the first shot.

I also loaned the books to a friend, long time medic trying to get NR and he also passed on the first shot.

So, I reccommend the Brady Essentials of Paramedic Practice WORK BOOK (has lots of pre tests in it)

And if you can get the Brady TEXT also it would help you out(not as much), but I managed to study almost entirely from the workbook.

Thanks for the tip. I have the brady paramedic text. Application to nremt is approved. awaiting word from the state now.

I used the Barron's How to Prepare for the EMT-Paramedic Exam book. It seems to be a good one to use. It had practice questions and had 3 full practice tests.

I'm a fairly new medic and found the Barron's to be written and worded more like the test questions national registry uses. But, things may have changed some since, we were one of the last groups to take the written test, before they went to the CBT.

I used the Mosby "Paramedic Prep" study guide. Pretty good book with some rather in depth questions.
