States Requiring Associates Degrees

Does anyone have a listing of states which require an Associates Degree to obtain their EMT-P? I'm in a debate on another list about how many (and which) states do and don't require it.

Thanks

New York doesn't currently, but alot of the Paramedic programs are switching to 2 year degrees, and downplaying the availability of certificate only programs.

Also, NYS is currently in the process of researching licensure for Paramedics....or so I've heard....

North Carolina does not. Texas was "working on it" a few years ago. Not sure what happened with that one, but they do have licensure there.

Perhaps you should clarify this a bit. Doesn't Texas have two "types" of paramedics? A "Certified Paramedic" for a non-degree paramedic and a "Licensed Paramedic" if you hold a degree, right?
