basic questions about qualifications

So be it.

If the shoe fits, wear it.

Bless your old heart. Leave it up to the battle axe nurse to draw blood first.

He's got an agenda. Nurse dusty camps out at his keyboard night and day waiting for every opportunity to spit venom at the basics. No one is sure why, but I have a theory. I suspect what he really doesn't want to us to talk about is how under trained paramedics are. Consider the scope. Add up the clock hours, subtract the BLS semester, divide by two and what do you get? An overblown sense of self importance. How does that one fit, D? In consideration of the practice, I would support 4-year programs. This may be a hard pill for you to swallow, but try it with water. I'm tired of all the gagging.

Wow!.. Al this for some info... I agree, if you view other web forums, part of the communication is to appear that you have done some research, and investigation prior to asking questions. There is no excuse of being ignorant with the invention of the internet and search measures.

Surely, one would investigate a career by looking at the professional requirements from educational systems and professional organizations, before discussing with members of that trade.

Yes, we have a reputation sometimes, but then again we have one of the highest active member forums. Yes, we strive to encourage common sense, reading, and further education of any non-level or levels of EMS. If you are offended for us that that want to maintain some creditability in the forums, there are plenty of "feel good" and whacker sites out there. Yet, one will not likely to find the experience nor educational level , rather those filled with students, newbies and wanna-be's....

Interested in any career, do a search.. go to a career counselor etc.. then after finding the qualifications and the job duties, and having a basic knowledge of that profession.. then talk ask questions of members of that profession.

Actually, I am NEVER at my keyboard at night. I work twelve to eighteen hours a day, seven days a week. I go to bed as early as I possibly can. And if I am up after dark, it is only because there is a medical emergency or a rocket attack, not because I want to camp on EMT City.

No one is sure why, but I have a theory.

You call it a "theory." I call it an ASSumption, just like your previous ASSumption.

I suspect what he really doesn't want to us to talk about is how under trained paramedics are..

See what happens when you make ASSumptions and do more posting than reading? As has already been stated, I criticise the inadequacy of paramedic education every chance I get.

Okay... so can you point out to me exactly where we disagree?
