Ridryder 911
It all depends on your state..most require at least an instructor course. Some require service time at that level.. Be safe, Ridryder
KEMSgrl
in NC we have to have at least Level 1 instructor cert, which we get from taking Instructor Methodology and actually teaching to our class we get hours to credit towards our level 1 I'm also beginning to help the main Basic instructor in teaching skills at the skill stations when he has practical days, these hours will give me credit towards my level 2 instructor cert, which I'll need if I want to teach by myself at the basic level

AnatomyChick
I agree.. check with your local Unit/Dept/Bureau of EMS. In Missouri it is 3 years (I think) as an EMT, and then a 40 Hour Course on how to teach, write lesson plans, etc. Savoy can give you more info about Missouri Standards.
