  1. Hello, I teach in Southern California. I use the TV show from Discovery Channel, "Paramedics". It's the "COPS" of EMS. I tell my students to focus on the patients condition NOT the care being provided. Also, 24-7 EMS (www.24-7e,s.com) has some really good videos, that are very consistent with NSC objectives. Hope this helps. JK.
  2. I have been teaching for 10 months and currently have a 95% pass rate. In my classes I STRESS airway management! I stay true to the national standard curriculum and stress airway management. Which text did you use?
  3. I recently attended a CE class at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. The class was put on by an Investigator from the LA Co. Coroners office. It was very graffic, but it gave insight that was never covered in any other CE or EMT class. See if the OC Coroner has something similar.
  4. Thanks for the input, I'll check em out
  5. Does anyone have recorded lung sounds that can be used for training? Rales, Rhonchi, Wheezes, etc. I am working to improve our training program and would like to incorporate some audio for the students. Please email me or ad a post. Thanks!
  6. Drill with your new partner. Practice with each other. All the other posts are correct with the baptism by fire theory, BUT, if you do some drills with her/him you can build some confidence to help break the ice and get them involved. Good luck!
